About Kirk

Who in their right mind would want to step into today’s political arena? It’s a battlefield of endless problems—some might even say a pit of rattlesnakes. But when it comes to the future of our families, our communities, and our country, sitting on the sidelines isn’t an option.

Politics today needs more than just degrees in political science or law. It demands leadership, real-world experience, and the ability to build teams that get things done. It takes someone who isn’t afraid to tackle tough issues, find real solutions, and work relentlessly to put those solutions into action.

I grew up in Ottawa, raised by parents who worked in the Civil Service, specifically in Foreign Aid. I’ve seen firsthand how the political game is played—the strategies, the delays, the reputation-building at the expense of real progress. To career politicians, it’s a job. To me, it’s personal. Every decision, every delay, every misstep has real consequences for Canadians like you and me. And every time the system drags its feet, it’s hardworking Canadians who pay the price—not the decision-makers.

I know what it means to fight for something that matters, and I won’t back down. My commitment is to my community. That means rolling up my sleeves and getting to work.

What you get with Kirk Cayer is someone who shares your reality—who understands the challenges of raising a family, running a business, and making ends meet. But more than that, you get someone who will do politics differently.

I will represent you. That means regular public polls and feedback, open discussions with stakeholders and community groups, and full transparency on the direction you want me to take. I am proud to stand with a Party that aligns with our values and priorities, and with a strong team behind me, I believe we can make real change in today’s political landscape.

Let’s do this together.

Key Priorities

  • Solutions over sound bites~ tackling specific problems and working with this community to push for the solutions that work for the people who live here.
  • Solving the housing crisis by deporting those who don’t have a legal right to be here, eliminating 15 minute cities, and building communities for the next 50 years of Canada’s growth.
  • Turning the taps on for Canada’s energy and natural resources industries so we can supply clean Canadian energy and natural resources to meet not just America’s needs, but Canada’s and the world at large radically transforming the country from the brink of financial ruin, to one of the most prosperous nations on Earth.
  • Reducing the burden and red tape on Canada’s small businesses so families can innovate and serve local, regional, national and international markets and compete to win.
  • Fixing Canada’s broken education system, focusing on producing new generations ready to compete and win, and turning around the focus on producing workers as widgets, widgets that expire every couple of years as demand changes.
  • Fixing Canada’s broken water systems so every Canadian can enjoy healthy water in their homes, and in the lakes and rivers we love so much.
  • Fixing Canada’s Crime Calamity. Latin American organized crime, Chinese triads, and international terror groups have made their home here since Justin Trudeau took office. They’ve corrupted our ports, they’ve corrupted our cities, and they’ve corrupted our local municipal governments. With over 4,000 organized crime groups represented in Canada that manufacture Fentanyl specifically, and over 47,000 Canadians dying of Fentanyl overdoses each year, Canada MUST take action to save our families, and to bring safety back to our communities.
  • Fixing Canada’s military so that working members of our military and our veterans never have to report to work when they’re sleeping under bridges because they can’t afford a place to live. Our aging bases, equipment, and policies all need complete overhauls, and substantial new investments to reinforce Canadian defense technology strengths, and address our security weaknesses. Eliminating ideologically driven policies and focusing on meritocracy, we can bring back the standards and culture in our defense forces that has made Canada an ally countries around the world were proud to serve with.
  • Eliminate nanny state laws and protect Canadians rights by building in even more protections from government over-reach and the whims of elected officials to whittle away at them whenever they want to, as they have done since 1982. Let’s make sure our Charter represents our rights as they are supposed to be, not how they are since the government started changing them without updating the Charter to reflect their whims. Our rights are there to protect US, the citizens, from the government and each other, not protecting the government from the citizens. They work for US, not the other way around.
  • Get rid of dangerous laws that give unbelievable powers to unelected bureaucrats, tribunals, and political appointees over everyday citizens, businesses, and civilian organizations.
  • Fixing the Canadian healthcare system so it works for Canadians again, not *just* for the pharmaceutical industry alone. Doctors, nurses, and technicians should want to come work in Canada, not flee at the first opportunity, and Canadians shouldn’t have to wait years to get standard medical treatments available anywhere else in the world for cheaper rates, and better, more focused and attentive quality of care. Our medical staff are all overworked, overextended, underpaid, and underappreciated, and no work culture performs at its best like that, and with what we’re paying in taxes, we deserve the best as consumers.
  • And finally building real Canadian infrastructure so we can travel from coast to coast, enjoying the freedoms and rights our families fought for in two world wars.

Sure there are other crucial topics we’re going to have to address, but these topics all will have a direct impact on our communities here in Alberta, as they will also benefit Canadians from Coast to Coast, and around the world, so I’m proud to put my focus over the next few years on fixing these real-world issues that affect you and me every day.

Join me in bringing the voice of everyday Canadians, small business owners, parents, and workers to a government that so desperately needs it. Give me your vote so I can carry that message to Ottawa and beyond!
